Laptop users are increasing day by day and despite there is no
significant difference between output of a Laptop and Desktop computer
still technology , working and tweaking is different in both.

Most of the laptop users are unaware of this difference and they 
use there Laptop just as Desktop replacement and never care about
Battery performance and durability of laptop battery because 
laptop batteries generally have a life of around 1000 recharge cycles. 

Generally most laptops claim to have 3-5 hours of battery life but in real it comes to 50% of the promised backup time because of many factors like heavy laptop usage while on battery backup, Using usb ports, CD/DVD drives etc.

So i have Few usefull tips  so that you can get fullest from your Lappy .

~!~ Use power management of your laptop which would make the computer to run at lower processor speeds when the power is down and automatically manage the complete system.

~!~ When you are using your laptop on battery make sure you set your display to lower brightness using the FN key combination (by pressing F7 [to decrese] ) coz it will increase battry life as Low brightness consumes less power.

~!~ Set Automatic Hibernate feature to make sure the laptop automatically saves all your running documents and applications and hibernates when you are not using the laptop for a given amount of time. A Feature which can save up your battery life when you are not using your laptop for a set specified time after which it automatically hibernates.

~!~ While on using laptop on battery avoid Using Speakers instead
use Headphones.

~!~ Use Mute or Turn off Sound because even though you dont play any music/videos the laptop would make different kinds of sounds when you close/open any applications because of the sound scheme of O.S.

~!~ If you are using Windows Vista , Disable Aero Glass Feature. To do this right click on your desktop > preferances > View Colour > Appearance > Classic Appearance and Windows Basic graphical interface > ok , this way you can get the classic appearance which has less resource using features and helps you use less battery.

~!~ Do not start ANY WI FI SERVICE UNLESS YOU REQUIRE ONE.

~!~ Multitasking and GAMING (3D) uses lots of battry so avoid them as much as you can whenyou are on battery.

~!~ DVD and CD rom uses unnecessary power even if they are not in use so make them off and donot put any Disk in them if not in use.

~!~ keep your Laptop cool so that fan uses less power , Sometimes we used the laptop on beds and sofa, in such cases the heat re-circulated without finding an escape. Thus causing the laptop to extra heat up. Also avoid using your laptop in High temprature even if you are on Ac. power.

~!~ Defragment your hard disk drive regularly [once or Twice in a month]. If you dont defragement your hard disk then the laptop would have slow loading programs and frozen applications. Use NTFS as your File system as FAT takes 10 times more time than NTFS when it comes to fragmentation.

~!~ Keep you battry out from lappy once a week and keep it for 1 2 hours. Apart from it clean the battery contacts when you turn your battery out, you can use a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol to clean the metal contacts.

~!~ Never let your battery to get compelety exhausted shutdown or Hibernate your laptop if battery comes below 20 %

~!~ Disable any connected USB Gadgets like external hard drives, pen drives etc because even though they are not in use, when they are connected they keep using your laptops battery via the USB 2.0 port.

~!~ Run low resource using applications like emails, documenting etc rather than playing games, DVD, running high resource using applications like adobe photoshop, 3Dmax, Visual Basic .net etc because when you run these kind of applications the laptop has to run on high resources and use more battery.

~!~ Never let your laptop left on always with Ac-charging. it heatups the battery and reduced the lasting capability. 

~!~ Recharge your laptop only with original power cord/adapter provided by the laptop dealer and dont use any other local cord because they can decrease the life of your battery. Also use only Li-Ion based batteries because they have internal processors which controls the internal temperature to make sure the batteries dont get over heated/explode.

~!~ DO NOT BUY ANY LAPTOP WITH PREPACKED VISTA OR ANY PAID OS , Rather Buy a Linux or Dos based laptop , It would drasticaly Reduce yur cost and you can Configure your O.S. according to youe knowledge and needs.

How To Get Website Info Using Cmd 2013

Start the command-line prompt. This is usually done by one of the following methods:

Going to Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt on Windows Vista/7. According to your settings, in older systems (XP, 2000, etc), you might find “Accessories” directly on “Start”

Go to Start >> Run and then type cmd in the run dialog and press Enter.


IP Address and Connectivity

Type the following command to the command-line prompt, replacing google.com with the website you want to get the information for:ping google.com

Find the IP address of the website (more precisely, the server) on the first line, where it says “Pinging Website_Address_You_Entered [X.X.X.X] with 32 bytes of data:”

Notice the connectivity between you machine and the server from the line where it says: “Packets: Sent = X, Received = X, Lost = X (X% loss),” where all the Xs will be replaced by numbers. This gives you an idea of how much percent of the packets sent to the server will be lost.


Routing Information

Type the following command to the command-line prompt, replacing google.com with the website or server you want routing information for:tracert google.com

But i will teach you that how can you accomplish it in a easy manner. 


First of all you should have some knowledge about IP ADRESSING SCHEME and there
subnets according to Ip class.


For a Fast tutorial on Ip address :
Ip address are devided into two categories (General case)
Private ip address (Like 10.X.X.X , 172.16.X.X , 192.168.X.X ) whom we can use plemty of times in diff. organisations. Private ip addresses saves Precious Ip addresses.


Public Ip address (Every ip from 1.X.X.X to 223.255.255.255 except private ip add. range)
These are the real and unique Ip addresses which cant be used 2nd time. Means Every ip address is unique.




Now from above tut. you came to knew that if we are implimenting 
Ip add. scheme in our Private use then we have to choose PRIVATE IP RANGE.  ^-^




Now Come to the topic Lets suppose we have a broadband connection 
On our desktop P.C. And we have 1 or 2 - 3 more computers in our home or our SOHO (Small office Home Office) and we are planning to share that broadbanmd connection among other p.c. so that we can save our cost and Time. It might be daunting task for most of the
users. But not now.... 




First of all there should be a Local Network in your Braodband connection P.C. and other p.c.'s so that they can Communicate . (It could be Wireless LAN too )


Now Download and Install CCPROXY (offcourse there are other softwares too but ccproxy is good and easy to use)

Now just install it and youdont have to alter anything in settings, but if you want to make it start automatically then you can tick "AUTO START" it from options.


After this installation. Ip address of this P.C. shall transformed into a proxy server (Private ip address of you LAN card not the ip address given by your ISP)


Default proxy port in ccproxy is 808 , you can change it to any port but my suggestion is Do not alter anything.


Now come to the client computers and give them an Ip address of same class  (i.e. If you chose 10 class in Main pc. then use next ip of same class on this comp. or vice versa acc. to 172 and 192 class.)


My suggestion is use 192.168.100.2 as Main p.c. Ip address .
192.168.100.3 as 2nd pc. then so on . Subnet for this class is 
255.255.255.0 . If you follow this ip's then your Proxy server would be "192.168.100.2:808"


Remember in a given Lan you can alter only Host portion of ip address 
like 1 to 255 in last portion of 192.168.100.1 to 192.168.100.255
Do not chnage 168 or 100 , else your network wont communicate 


One More important thing that you should give in all client computers is "DEFAULT GATEWAY" and default gateway is Ip address on Main (Broadband connection pc same ip which is a proxy server)


To Give Ip address On Client computers Goto PROPERTIES of MY NETWORK PLACES and right Click on your LAN CARD and choose its properties >>
A new Window will open , here Goto Networking Tab and Double click on 
TCP/IP . Here you can give the ip address as well default gatewy.


Now rest of the process is just like Airtel GPRS, Give proxy address and port no. in your Browser , messenger and enjoy high speed internet  


Troubleshooting: If any problem occures then First of all 
Give a ping to Default gateway (Main p.c. or proxy server ). so that you can confirm about connectivity of LAN.

Usefull windows tips

Make windows taskbar, start menu, explorer etc fully transparent

 1. Download System_Transparency by link-----

 2. Extract the tool using Win-Rar or Win Zip

 3. Double click on the System Transparency.exe file

 4. This application will start in background

 5. Open tray icons and Right Click on  System Transparency icon, choose Setup and    

     then customization window will appear

 6. Customize the tool as you wish and have fun

View Lyrics of current track in Windows media Player

 1.Firstly Download Lyrics Plugin here--------

 2.Then Install the plugin

 3.At the end of installation if you are asked to start media player, Confirm it

 4.In window Media Player-->> Go to Menu Bar -->>Tools -->>Plugins

 5.Check the Lyrics Plugin

 7.Click on View/ Now playing

 8.And the small window media player will now show the lyrics of current track

    That's it... 

Extract a song video clip from Movie/Video using VLC 

 1.Open the desired video in VLC media player

 2.Click View -->>Check the Advanced Controls. After selecting these controls, some controls will appear on VLC interface as show below

 3.Now at the desired position on clip, Click the Record button and recording of particular clip will start

 4.To stop the current recording, again click on Record button at particular clip position up-to which you want to record the video clip

 5.Now the clip between selected portion is saved in good quality in My Documents -->> Videos

 6.That's it
